Hi there. How'd the last year go? Went by really fast, ey? Time just keeps picking up speed as you get older...
But its been a pretty fine year. Sorry for the silence, but it's how I like to work. I disappear to work in tranquil solitude, emerging once the work is done. I'll try to change that a little more from here on out, especially since I'm about 2/3 finished with my own animation. That's the source of all my joy.
Professionally, things have been steady & busy.
Among these various jobs was a music video for creepy killer clowns. Came out pretty nice., very gnarly Horrorcore isn't my cup o tea n' I'm sorry for the upsetting/gory visuals. But it's got some nice animation tricks and such that was fun to try out. Plus Twiztid are cool dudes, so its worth a good look. I'd upload it here if I had the permission, but I remember reading a while back that NG doesn't encourage music vids for mainstream acts since it focuses on the track rather than the animation.
Did more animation for "Mind of a Chef" in their episode about taking risks. Absolutely loved that job since it combines animation and FOOD! Specifically, I did the black & white animation about elusive Sichuan chef Peter Chang.
Also worked on a pilot for another chef's interview web series with occasional fantasy interludes. Had a blast with that project. It's still in development for the time being, but hopefully it'll come to see the light soon enough.
Also I've been helping out Trist with his music vids here n there, too. Capital Steez, Dreezy, Kodak Black. It's always a pleasure to work with him.
This year I'm gonna try to get better control of my time and find balance. Balance between taking care of family, seeing friends and furthering work. I want to give life to as many ideas of mine as I can with this finite time I have. I'll definitely have a new original piece out this year.
Pulled in many directions, all of them going forward....

Hope everyone's doin' well. It's been busy busy busy over the last few months. Here's what I've been up to till now.
A while back, I helped out with animation for an Adult Swim pilot called "Hot Streets" by Brian Wysol. They showed it online a while back, but now they're gonna air it on TV tonite! At 11:30pm EST. Fuckn excited to finally see it on [AS].
Hopefully it won't be too long before [AS] airs the pilot for "BallMastrz 9669", cuz that was also a helluva lot of fun to work on. Pretty crazy show, great homage to sci-fi animes of the 90s.
Animated a segment for the Netflix series "Mind of a Chef", a show about famous chefs and what motivates/inspires them to cook. I did the episode where April Bloomfield talks about her grandma cooking to Al Martino's "Spanish Eyes". It was an awesome project since I had creative freedom, worked with cool dudes, and it was a merging of my two favorite things into one (animation & cooking). I can't put up my part until the proper show airs, but its gonna be a doozy once it does. Surreal & appetizing!
Helped Trist out with animations for Denzel Curry seen here on NG, did art for Too Many Games 2017, and I also did the new DVD cover for Board James that'll be out later on.
And right now, I'm workin' on a music video for Twiztid. It's coming along pretty well, very chaotic. It's gonna end up being very amorphous and... full of gore. Personally, I'm more into Boards of Canada and ambient stuff like the OST for ".flow" & "OFF", but this song is pretty good and fast paced. Good exercise in fast animation on 2s for me.
Finally, through all of these projects, I'm still continuing work on my next original work. Step by step, inch by inch. Getting a little bit more done with every passing day, closer and closer to the end. That's where my heart truly lies in the end. Close to 30secs done. Always busy...
....Hopefully I get enough work done to be free for MAGfest again. Just one more month...

Yo, sorry for the absence. Things still busy over here. Been real busy lately with the new job for now...
Been learning so much in this amazing experience, I'm beyond elated with how things are turning out. But I'm still working on my own stuff now, too. I'll share that later.
Never give up, follow your dreams, and practice practice PRACTICE.
